Let’s find out more…
Carnival Cruises prides itself on offering cruises to the best destinations around the world, family-friendly stylish ships with everything you could every want from a holiday and more, leaving you absolutely spoilt for choice. Whether you want to explore the serene tropical lagoons of the South Pacific onboard Carnival Legend or Spirit, set out on an adventure to the Alaskan wilderness or bask in the sun of the Caribbean onboard the newest ship – Carnival Horizon and onboard many other fleet favourites – you’re bound for one amazing holiday onboard a Carnival cruise.
Classic elegance is what Carnival Legend is all about. And with its recent, much-awaited revamp (May 2018 in Portland Oregon), you’ll have so much more to do onboard. Carnival Legend has kept its most popular crowd pleasers, such as Carnival’s Waterworks including the “Green Thunder” slide, both Camelot and Avalon twin pools with their sliding sky-dome above, the relaxing Adult’s Only Serenity Deck, Club Merlin Casino, and the top of the ships fine dining Nouveau Restaurant.
Carnival Legend now incorporates Alchemy Bar – where you can mix and match different liqueurs and flavours, or chill by the pool with your favourite refreshing frozen, cocktails and mojitos at the BlueIguana Cantina and Tequila Bar or try something new at the RedFrog Rum Bar while you make new friends and laugh the night away with old friends. Guy Fieri’s signature gourmet burgers have also made their way onboard Legend at Guy’s Burger Joint. Cruisers will now enjoy gourmet hand-cut chips and mouth-watering burgers straight from the grill in the best BBQ style. Yum!
One of the most innovative additions to the Legend is the Pixels Digital Photo Gallery, allowing you to view photos on newly-installed touch-screen tablets at the photo gallery, flip through them on your stateroom interactive TV, or use your own smart device and use the HUB apps. It’s easier to order your memories and have them delivered straight to your room. Awesome, right?
Speaking of rooms, a quick cabin refresh replaces French Door configurations in some staterooms, replacing them with a more modern, floor to ceiling window, as well as other general maintenance and upgrades onboard.
This year, the Legend is bound for Alaska, Hawaii, and in the islands of the South Pacific, with her shiny new amenities, existing activities and innovative experiences, and she is ready for a whole lot more adventure at sea.
Get into the SPIRIT of Fun!
The SPIRIT of fun is alive and well as the newly refurbished 2,100-passenger Carnival Spirit, follows Legend into drydock, this time it’s heading for a two week refresh in Singapore.
Along with regular maintenance and a quick spruce up of cabins, Spirit will be the first Carnival ship to host SoulPlay – an integral arts and crafts area that will have classes for the imaginative (and not so imaginative) amongst us. Another new addition is the Warehouse Video Arcade – the perfect gamers paradise open 24/7 for kids and kids-at-heart. Fancy some duty-free shopping? New onboard are a good mix of local and global brands such as Seafolly, Quay Australia, Swarovski, Swatch, Lacoste and Clinique, that is sure to appeal to the Australian market. Hush Hush: Yet to be confirmed at this stage is a potential new waterslide – we will all have to wait and see!
Upon her return to Australia this June, Carnival Spirit is ready to continue her South Pacific and New Zealand itineraries as well as heading north from Sydney her homeport, to the always popular Whitsunday Islands.
Fun is on the HORIZON
Now that the wait is over for Carnival Horizon, Carnival’s newest ship has joined the fleet, and, as expected, is another massive accomplishment for superb cruise engineering.
Able to accommodate over 4,000 passengers, the new Horizon is 133,500 gross tons of innovation, technology, and of course, Carnival’s signature promise – whether you’re indoors or out, active or chill — Carnival Horizon lets everyone find their favourite kind of fun.
Horizon boasts an exhilarating 240-metre-long SKYRIDE high above the top deck, TWO movie theatres – one an IMAX and the other 3D! A huge iconic Dr. Seuss themed water park where kids of all ages can splash and play. Follow this up with a LIP SYNC BATTLE where the mic is on and you can channel your inner superstar to become the ULTIMATE onboard mover-and-shaker!
Her maiden voyage saw Horizon cruising the Mediterranean, before heading to her new home in the tropics of the Caribbean sailing from New York and Miami to the islands of St Kitts, Caymans, St Maarten, the exotic Curaçao, Aruba and Bermuda.
