After Ketchikan there was a sailing day, just time enough to explore the ship and find all those hidden spots I missed on the first few days… The universe lounge where we listened to two lectures from the first woman to win the Iditerod and a wonderful storyteller who mixed song and tall tales of the old mining days – fascinating!
Life is just so hard, I mean what to do? Have a coffee at the International cafe, sit outside in the pool area and watch the movies under the stars ( mama Mia is playing this morning and you know how I love ABBA), or is it too early for a mimosa in the cocktail bar??
Oh… Gotta run, some friends have come by and we are covering all three a mimosa by the pool with ABBA… Coffee later! I love this ship!
Whale ho! We have sighted orca whales. A small pod spinning their flukes and tails in the air. I keep missing the photo, but they are just wonderful. There are lots of birds around too feeding on the small fish, eagles, osprey and Canadian geese.
We crossed into Canada today.
The islands off the coast of Canada, coming into Vancouver are stunning. Lots of little islands that need to be manoeuvred by an expert, simply a stunning sight to see.
Off to dinner now, we are all spending our last night in Horizons a huge international buffet. We figured it would be easier to wander down to the huge last night show at the Princess Theatre plus we had the same food as at the two big fancy restaurants anyway, and we could have a little bit of each – yum!
Ok off to play, you have fun now because I am!
